This is easy, I promise.
1-2 cups distilled water, or more or less
1-2 citrus fruits (you can use more or less, the result being more or less concentrated)
Roll fruit on counter to break up flesh on inside, or pop in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to get the juices flowing.
Cut 4 ways and squeeze juice into jar/container. Next grate the fruit zest into the container.
Add the distilled water and store up to one month. You can store in or out of fridge, as long as it’s in a dark, cool area.
Note: There are many different ways in which to use this product. You can make it every time you plan on cleaning or keep a larger jar for reoccurring use. Keep in mind, with no preservatives the product won’t last that long – normally about a month.
I normally squeeze the juice of about 10-15 fruits at a time, and store separately from the water, it lasts longer and I like to mix how much I need at a time. Plus, this way I don’t need to buy distilled water, and I can use hot water and concentrate the fruit as much as I’d like.
Also, try it with vinegar, this ingredient will help it last longer and will make whatever you clean it with, shine! Tip: If using vinegar, don’t add water, it can make it spoil quicker. UNLESS: you add the vinegar and hot water to your one-time use batch then it doesn’t matter.
